College of DuPage (2 years as professors assistant)

I was hired on as a Teachers Aid soon after joining the program. Taught Adobe classes for photoshop, illustrator and indesign every weekend for 2 years. Helped with all things including critiquing work to fixing printers. During this time I set up two art shows in the gallery which were very successful. I won best portfolio at the graduating contest. After graduating I was offered a position at Bohringer Creative.

Bohringer Creative (3 years as a branding graphic & web designer)

I had a class were Gary Bohringer, owner and creator of Bohringer Creative taught me for a semester. He hired me on as a Designer right out of school. I was very fortunate to get this job so soon after graduating. I worked on all things from magazine layouts, logos, web pages, print flyers, assisted on a video commercial and so many more small jobs completed. I worked here for3 years or so and decided that I should complete my 4 year degree since I only had an associates. So I thanked Gary for everything, packed up and left for Milwaukee as a student again.

Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) (2 years as a student)

I applied for a scholarship with a portfolio I had worked on for a while and received the Presidential Scholarship (which only two were awarded that year) I studied at MIAD for two years, completing many projects, including a thesis book project. Made friends with the professors, of which I still have those relationships to this day. I had an opportunity to apply for an internship at Kohl’s Corporation as a Digital Designer. I was chosen for the internship.

Kohls Corporation (4.5 years as Digital Designer)

At Kohl’s I participated in a future project that focused on using up and coming technology to help streamline purchases in-store. Sensors on shopping carts to add up totals, the ability to scan catalogs and get video previews. So many more ideas where presented to the CEO and VP’s - we were told it was the best presentation by an intern group they have even seen. I received the position after that presentation and began working as a Digital Designer for Kohl’s digital platforms. I was put on a specialized team that focused on new product launches and branding page layouts. We would make special shops within the site, that helped promote the products.

Laughlin Constable (3 years as a Digital Designer)

I worked at Laughlin Constable for 3 years.

AdvocateAuroraHealth (5+ years as a Digital Designer)

Currently I’m at AdvocateAuroraHealth as a Digital Designer working on an app to help people get medication and set appointments easier. The app also has features for free to help with stuff, by offering meditations, hypnosis & healthy recipes. Besides working on the app I’ve worked on landing pages, helped create the style guide and set up the look and feel of the pages. I have been here for 5+ years working on the Digital Experience team, helping out were and when I can. You can see concepts for the LiveWell pages and App in the Digital Design page of the site.

Hustled Beauty (1+ years)

Hustled beauty, working on projects for the west coast all the way to Germany and everything in-between. Specializing in Logo design, clothing graphics & packaging design.

Digital Designer specializing in web, app, UX & UI, typography & Logo design.

I started at a community college called College of DuPage. Where I focused on graphic design, typography and early web development. After I graduated I was offered a position at Bohringer Creative. I really enjoyed working at Bohringer Creative. Working on logos, websites, powerpoints & even some quark magazine layouts. After about 3 years, I decided that I should finish up school and get a BFA after receiving an associates degree.

So I moved to Wisconsin from Illinois, to go to Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design for graphic design/visual communications. (received the presidential scholarship). After two years I ended up creating a cool book for the final thesis.

After school, I began work as an intern at Kohl’s Corporation and was hired as a Digital Designer for about 5 years. I worked with some large brands while at Kohl’s. But I was lured out of corporate life into trying out the advertising world - I started at Laughlin Constable. It was a short lived experience at just about 3 years and I was let go when the largest client dropped the agency. Learned agency life is cut throat after that experience.

I was offered a position at AdvocateAuroraHealth and have been with them for over 5 years. You can see some of the concepts produced for the company in the Digital Design page.

Personal Stuff:

I also have a coon hound of which you can see me walk her for 2 hours straight on the contact page. (yes its two hours of walking around Milwaukee east side and downtown.)
